Children from Year 5 and Year 6 were invited to view a fascinating exhibition at the local church about the history of Aston Clinton

On Thursday 11th July year 5 visited the Hindu temple in Watford. They learnt first hand about the beliefs and traditional customs of Hinduism. The children dressed up as gods and goddesses, donning saris or turbans; they had their faces painted as warriors or princesses; toured the grounds of the temple including the George Harrison memorial garden and shared a meal with their hosts. On this week's flyer there are some quotes form the children that indicate just how much they enjoyed themselves. One group of boys were heard discussing whether this trip was better than the Kingswood residential trip!

This week's music concert was a huge success with some wonderful performances. Over 30 children took part and we heard pieces on instruments ranging from ukeleles to saxophone, as well as voice. The children should be very proud as shuold our peripatetic music staff and Mrs. Wells. There are video clips of all the performances on the parents pages. parents area

Children in year 4 have been designing and making their own outfits by reusing old clothes and adding eye-catching features. They took to the cat-walk on Thursday 4th July to show their creations off to a packed hall of parents and children. Watch the video in the parents area. parents area . They also sang for us and video clips of these will appear on the parents pages soon.

The presence of so many supportive parents and a bright sunny sky made this year's sports day so much more enjoyable for everyone. The result was a hard fought victory for Blue House. Well done to all the children for such a fantastic effort and thank you to the staff for their invaluable organisation.
